Guiding Our Cooperative, Together
At WCTA, our member-elected Board of Directors plays a vital role in shaping the future of our cooperative. These individuals are members of our community – neighbors, customers and champions of local service – committed to ensuring that our network, technology and customer experience remain strong. Their leadership helps guide daily operations, uphold cooperative values and keep our mission focused on serving you.

Our Responsibilities to You
Our Board of Directors follows a set of cooperative bylaws that help keep our organization fair, transparent and accountable to the members we serve. These guidelines outline how the board operates, including director roles, elections and member rights.

Board Nomination & Election Process
Appoint & Nominate
Each year, the Board appoints a Nominating Committee made up of members from different areas of our service community. This committee reviews and recommends candidates for the Board, ensuring fair representation. The list of nominees is posted at WCTA’s main office at least 30 days before the Annual Meeting.
Post & Mail
Once all nominations are finalized, every candidate is included on the official ballot. The ballot, along with details about the Annual Meeting and instructions for voting, is mailed to all members.
Vote
Members can cast their votes by mail before the meeting. Mail-in ballots are counted the same as votes cast in person.
